Waxees: A Sensory Experience

My amazing friend, and sister-of-the-heart, Elize has started a business called Waxees. As the name suggests, it is a candle business (to begin with, because she has plans to expand her range of products). But these are not just any candles, they are soy wax hand-poured works of art, based on five mindfulness principles, fragranced with high-quality essential oils to offer the user a full sensory experience.

Waxees are non-toxic; they are biodegradable, contain no synthetic- or chemical additives, diffuse aroma naturally and have a longer burning time than their paraffin-wax counterparts. Added benefits are that the warm wax can be used in massage because of its soothing and moisturizing properties, leaving your skin being feeling luxurious. Each experience is available in various sizes to suit every budget, making Waxees the perfect gift for any occasion.

The five signature experiences Waxees has on offer is:

  1. Let Go ~ A Renewing & Liberating Experience

A fresh, woody aroma which helps to counteract emotions of guilt and anger, while promoting liberating feelings of contentment, relief and patience.

  1. Pause ~ A Reassuring & Calming Experience

A blend of floral- and mint essential oils, which create a reminder to pause, take a deep breath and reconnect with the composed, collected version of yourself.

  1. Kind Heart ~ An Uplifting & Joyful Experience

An aromatic blend of uplifting essential oils which will revitalize your mind and body, inducing a sense of bliss.

  1. Aware ~ An Invigorating & Energising Experience

A blend of citrus essential oils which energize both body & mind and refresh the air. This experience is popular for massage due to the cheerful mood it creates.

  1. Allow and Accept ~ A Grounding & Peaceful Experience

A combination of warm, woody, earthy essential oils the help dispel tension, while creating a feeling of peace and relaxation.

So, if you’re looking to spoil someone (or yourself, because you are worth it!) and you’d like to purchase a Waxee Sensory Experience, you can get in touch with Elize directly at sales@waxees.co.za

Good, Better, Best

I completely forgot…

…about a phone call I received about a month ago from an insurance company telling me that a friend had nominated me to receive a free gift. To be honest, I wasn’t paying much attention as there were more pressing matters to attend to.

Anyhow, here I was, sitting all comfy in my chair, typing away at job profiles for my thirteen subordinate staff (I haven’t even applied for the post yet, but I’m already doing all the work), when a courier gent, dressed like a sunflower on steroids, pops in telling me I must sign for a parcel.

Thinking that Jenna, our receptionist, is probably hiding out at the back of the building feeding her nicotine habit, I trot off to grace is manifest sheet with my million dollar signature. To my suprise, the parcel was consigned to me. *Squeee!*

Inside the box, which is clearly marked with the insurance company’s name was the following:

A funky black bag with pink polka dots…sealed with a combination lock

An Insurance Policy, entitling me to R5000 free cover for the next six months

A card

An informative magazine

I listened to the CD and during the interviews, a voice interrupts the bulletin to give the code of the lock.

I quickly unlocked the lock and to my great delight found the following goodies inside.

A Sponge

Isabella Garcia Hand and Body Wash

Isabella Garcia Hand and Body Lotion

Some of you already know, but most of you don’t that I supplement my income by selling Sh’zen products. They have gorgeous hand lotions and lovely body washes, but nothing in the range (okay, maybe the Perfect Endings products) smells as gorgeous as the Isabella Garcia goodies I got today.

I also know that there is another parcel on the way to me from a fellow blogger, which I am also looking forward to receiving. I know that it contains books, but I don’t know what books, so there is still an element of surprise attached.

On other fronts, I have invited Carmen and Ewan for dinner tonight. I am making my comforting-perfect-for-winter three-cheese lasagne, which I will be serving with a pineapple salad and/or a green salad, depending on how much time I have. There will be definitely be red wine (I have a KWV Merlot in the cellar that has been calling out my name to be opened and enjoyed with some company) and I’m thinking Chocolate Port or liqueur coffees for afterwards.

I reckon the day started okay, has progressed to pretty well, and thus it will end on a high note.

‘Til later…
