This is not going to be one of my longest posts, but it is going to be one of my proudest 😀
Given the goal to establish Reflections of a Misfit as a brand, it’s obviously time to polish my image a bit, but that doesn’t mean I am going to become stok in die hol (translated: stick up the arse). My personal blog’s posts will always be true to me, while my freelance work will always be professional, concise, well-researched and delivered before my deadline. See, I’m multi-faceted 😀
In an epiphany likely induced by a migraine that came out of nowhere last night, I thought Hey Femme – Reflections of a Misfit = ROAM, and that’s ideally what you want to do. Roam the world and write about your adventures.
With it being the 496th day of January and prostitution an attractive prospect, I asked Angelique for some guidance about logo design, because as much as I would love to use a professional service provider, my credit card is screaming for me to stop abusing it.
Knowing that I want my logo to reflect me, and my reflections (whether written or photographic), I had the perfect photo in mind for the background; one I took during my holiday at Old Drift Lodge, Victoria Falls last November. Bearing the ‘ROAM’ concept in mind, as well as ‘less is more’ I made a few and sent them to my closest friends and critics. After some deletions and additions and moving things around, I’m proud to unveil the new identity of Reflections of a Misfit.
and the banner that will be placed on various platforms with more information about Yours Truly and services offered looks like this:
The next step is to tackle the website. One thing at a time. Until then, I’m going to #roam happily, doing what I love most.
